Job description

Overview: As a Welding Engineer Intern, you will be working closely with the Welding, Fabrication, and Engineering teams on assigned projects for Keel.
Job Functions:
  • Will perform Welder Performance Qualifications as a standalone project, managing the process from initial setup to final certification.
  • Will conduct AP1000 PQR testing and reporting.

A successful internship will increase the accuracy and on-time delivery of performance reports as well as PQR testing and reporting.
Physical Demands: Extended computer use. Will sometimes be required to walk in the shop floor environment and lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment: Typical office environment with occasional trips to the manufacturing floor where there will be some exposure to dirt, debris, and heavy equipment. PPE will be required at all times on the shop floor.
Requirements
  • In the process of earning a 4 Year bachelors' degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Analytical, good communication, and cross-functional team skills.
  • Relevant coursework and academic projects, some prior full or part-time employment history.
  • High energy, expeditious, ethical, optimistic/ready to help, and customer focused.
  • Prior internship experience or employment in a Manufacturing or Welding related field a plus.
