A typical day for a Radiologic Technologist may include:

  • Performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while following established protocols to support accurate and timely diagnoses
  • Preparing patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process
  • Positioning patients accurately and operating radiologic equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Applying radiation safety principles and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to protect patients, colleagues, and yourself
  • Reviewing images for quality and completeness, identifying the need for additional views when appropriate, and communicating with radiologists and providers
  • Accurately documenting imaging procedures, patient information, and exam details within the electronic medical record and imaging systems
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintaining imaging equipment, monitoring supplies, and reporting equipment concerns to support uninterrupted patient care
  • Pursuing continued professional development through continuing education, advanced imaging opportunities, and organizational resources that support long-term career growth

To be considered for this Radiologic Technologist opportunity, you must:

  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • hold an active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license (NJDEP)
  • Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
