Description
X-Ray Technologist
We are seeking an ambitious licensed Radiology Technologist to join our team! The Radiology Technician will assist doctors in the Operating Room utilizing fluoroscopic imaging. To be successful in this role, the Radiology Technician must have prior experience in a surgical setting using fluoroscopy. They must have experience with Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Spine Procedures.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality imaging and fluoroscopic guidance during OR procedures
  • Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
  • Prepare patients for radiology procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
  • Ensure that equipment is in proper working order; report any malfunction to area manager(s) or provider on duty
  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
  • Effectively communicate with staff and patients
  • Provide exceptional patient experiences through internal and external coordination of patient care
  • Guarantee accurate record keeping and scheduling best practices
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with governing HIPAA regulations

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years C-Arm experience in an Ambulatory Surgical setting required
  • Associates or Bachelor degree in Radiography or Radiologic Technology
  • State license and certification to practice
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance
