This role will be onsite at our hospital facility in Columbus, Georgia, facilitating collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The workweek consists of Monday to Friday shifts, starting at 5:00 PM, with a commitment to serving our patient population in a timely manner. Our facility is designed to provide a supportive atmosphere where healthcare providers can thrive and focus on patient care.

• Conduct thorough patient examinations, including taking health histories and reviewing medical records to inform diagnosis.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, to aid in formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage various acute medical conditions, delivering immediate care to ensure patient well-being.
• Create and implement treatment strategies for chronic illnesses, coordinating with team members for comprehensive care.
• Prescribe medications as necessary, monitor their effects, and adjust treatment protocols based on patient feedback and clinical findings.
• Maintain meticulous, organized patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive health measures to foster better health outcomes.
• Oversee the general health of patients, advocating for wellness and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and participating in research to stay abreast of advancements in urgent care and medicine.

The patient demographic at Quest Urgent Care is diverse, encompassing individuals of all ages, from young children to older adults. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in addressing a wide array of health concerns, ensuring timely care for acute injuries and illnesses while also managing chronic conditions. • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health science discipline.
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia.
• Certification or eligibility for board certification in Family or Internal Medicine.
• A valid DEA license to prescribe controlled medications.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred, enhancing patient communication and care.

• At least one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care or primary care setting.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, contributing to efficient patient data management.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
