About Optometric Physicians of Middle Tennessee

This thriving multi-location optometry group provides full-service optometry to families and residents in Davidson County and surrounding communities of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses. Combining cutting-edge technology and a caring team of professionals, Optometric Physicians of Middle Tennessee takes a whole health approach to eye care, specializing in dry eye treatment, low vision, myopia control, ocular disease and management, specialty contact lenses, vision therapy and vision rehabilitation. With 7successful locations and plans to expand, the practice is looking to add a part-time Optometrist to the team of 40 employees.

This tech-forward practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. All practice locations are well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including digital retinal imaging. The team of Optometrists regularly participate in clinical studies and continuously integrate new technologies and innovative treatments to provide their patients with the best vision possible.

About the opening

Optometric Physicians of Middle Tennessee is seeking a part-time Associate Optometrist who is passionate about providing the highest level of patient-centric care. A candidate with experience in private practice and/or retail with residency training would be a complimentary addition to the practice (although not required). This is an excellent opportunity to join a solid, privately-owned practice and learn from other experts in a supportive environment. Plus, the practice has a large established patient base as well as a strong referral base.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Optometry license in the state of Tennessee

  • New graduates will be considered

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in private and/or retail setting

  • Residency
