Job description

Overview

Lakeshore Optical in Tempe, AZ, is immediately hiring an Optometrist and welcomes both new graduates and experienced professionals. This is a great opportunity to join a patient-focused practice in a vibrant Arizona community while building a rewarding career in a supportive, upbeat environment. Since 1978, Lakeshore Optical has been dedicated to helping every patient see and look their best while delivering unmatched eyewear and eye care experiences. Providers can expect to see approximately 12 to 16 patients per day in a supportive, patient‑focused setting.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive, personalized eye care in a supportive environment, including performing routine and medical eye exams, measuring and fitting contact lenses, evaluating visual needs, and diagnosing and managing a variety of ocular conditions. You’ll use your clinical judgment to educate patients on their eye health, recommend appropriate treatment plans, and help each person feel confident in their care. The practice offers helpful diagnostic technology, including a retinal camera, NCT, and auto‑refractor, along with a collaborative team that supports a smooth patient experience from exam to eyewear. This flexible opportunity offers approximately 24 to 40 hours per week, making it a great fit for an Optometrist who wants to provide high‑quality care while enjoying a balanced practice setting.

Who you are

You’re a personable, upbeat Optometrist who is passionate about providing exceptional eye care and creating a positive experience for patients of all ages. You communicate with warmth and confidence, enjoy working collaboratively with a close‑knit team, and are committed to continued learning, personalized treatment, and helping the practice grow while making a meaningful impact in the community.
