Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for conducting internal sewer line inspections and reinstatement of sewer laterals.


Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile television and reinstatement unit to conduct internal sewer line inspections and reinstatements to laterals.

  • Use, record, and troubleshoot video/cutter software applications.
  • Set up and operate sewer video and cutting equipment.
  • Set up and operate various handheld and hand operated equipment including power tools, shovels, etc.
  • Place traffic cones and other barricades at job sites; remove manhole covers and examine manholes to determine proper set-up procedure.
  • Locate line sections to be inspected, using map, and determine set up procedures; set up winches, determine skid size and install proper skid; plug line, if necessary; thread cable through sewer lines and place camera inside manhole to televise sewer line.
  • Complete mapping of all laterals prior to CIPP and reinstate after CIPP is installed.
  • Cleanly cut and brush all lateral connections.
  • Operate and adjust camera controls to obtain optimum clarity and contrast.
  • Prepare description of each sewer defect and record pertinent data.
  • Determine supplies necessary for the daily operation of the TV truck and equipment.
  • Prepare crawler, connect necessary cables to crawler.
  • Remove camera, hoses, and crawler from line when inspection and reinstatement is complete.
  • Clean and store camera/cutter, chemicals, and equipment on truck after use

  • Adhere to B&F Code of Conduct.

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Operate equipment and perform basic maintenance and repair

  • Able to operate autonomously and as part of a team

  • Able to problem solve

  • Able to review and red-line plans, technical specifications, project documentation

  • Driver’s license with clean driving record
