Work Schedule:
Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

* Join the UW Health Eye Care Team who provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
* Assist patients with selecting the right fit, shape, style of eyewear and dispense contact lenses.
* Perform eye-glass repairs and adjustments.
* Educate patients and families on proper eye-wear care.

Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent Required
* Completion of an accredited Optician Vision Care Program Preferred

Work Experience
* Computer experience Required
* Previous experience in customer service or eye care setting Required
* 1 year or more Optician experience Preferred
* 1 year or more of work experience with processing insurance claims Preferred
* Optical lab training and/or optometric technician experience Preferred
* Contact lens training or experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications
* Obtain American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification within 18 months or three (3) testing periods from the date of hire and maintain the certification Required
* American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification and/or National Contact Lens (NCLE) Certification Preferred
