Part-Time / Maternity Coverage Optometrist Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for a part-time / maternity coverage Optometrist is now available at Ballard Optical, located in Seattle, Washington from December 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027, with an opportunity to continue afterwards.

To ensure a lifetime of clear vision, the Optometrists utilize state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-equipped with advanced technology, including, Optos, IPL, Radio Frequency, Optical Coherence Tomography, Humphrey Visual Field, and iCare. Cloud-based software (Crystal PM) manages electronic health records while establishing a baseline of patients' eye health and monitors changes. The optical boutique features the most extensive collection of designer frames in the area; and the Opticians work closely with patients to select proper frames for cosmetic, lifestyle, and visual needs.

Ballard Optical is seeking a compassionate and motivated Optometrist committed to serving patients through excellent personalized care to achieve optimal eye health. You'll have the opportunity to practice full-scope optometry and promote good ocular health through patient education. The position is part-time, ideally looking for someone to work 1-3 days per week from December 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027, with the opportunity to continue after that.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications include:
