General Job Description & Responsibilities

As Practice Manager, you'll ensure every patient receives the best quality of care at all times. You'll serve as the primary point of resolution for patient and employee matters, providing hands-on guidance and supervision to your team. Core responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a team of Opticians, Technicians, Patient Care Coordinators, and other staff
  • Partnering closely with the Lead OD to ensure an exceptional patient experience
  • Leading with a customer-centric approach โ€” coaching, inspiring, and developing staff to deliver unsurpassed customer service
  • Serving as a role model and mentor to your team
  • Collaborating with ODs to uphold the highest standards of patient care and workflow efficiency
  • Overseeing daily practice operations, providing on-the-job training and support using core philosophies
  • Analyzing financial data and making recommendations to optimize practice profitability
  • Recruiting and selecting high-caliber talent
  • Ensuring compliance with billing standards, staff conduct, and HIPAA regulations
  • Managing product inventory and cost of goods
  • Conducting regular staff evaluations, performance management, and team training

Experience & Skills

Excellent customer service and a polished professional presence are essential. Our ideal candidate brings:

  • Optical experience preferred, and/or a minimum of 2 years in retail management/supervisory roles
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of operations and processes
