The Optical Metrology Engineer will serve as the primary process engineering partner for optical inspection and measurement systems across the manufacturing floor. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining metrology processes that ensure accurate, repeatable, and highthroughput inspection performance. The engineer will work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to drive process capability, troubleshoot measurement issues, and expand the organization’s optical measurement toolbox.


Responsibilities

Major roles and responsibilities include:

  • Own and optimize optical metrology processes (e.g., interferometry, ellipsometry, laserbased inspection) to ensure stable, highcapability measurement performance.
  • Support inspection areas by monitoring process health, analyzing performance trends, and implementing corrective actions to improve yield, accuracy, and throughput.
  • Develop and maintain measurement capability through calibration strategies, gauge R&R studies, uncertainty analysis, and continuous improvement of measurement methods.
  • Lead rootcause investigations for metrologyrelated issues, including measurement drift, tooltotool variation, false positives/negatives, and data integrity concerns.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train technicians and operators on proper tool usage, process controls, and best practices for optical measurement.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset, diligent and accurate
• Self-motivated, collaborative and flexible individual able to function in a high energy fast-paced team environment with minimal direction.
