Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The DEL Maintenance Associate is responsible for the timely, efficient, and accurate repair of machines and equipment with the ability to perform in all areas of their employment as listed below under Key Responsibilities. The DEL Maintenance Associate will be assigned a routine, where he/she will work the majority of their daily schedule as well as perform work in additional area(s) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor(s) about technical details, questions and ideas in English
  • Employee must report to supervisor about observed and reported machine & technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Employee must understand workflow concept of entire DEL.
  • Employee must be able to operate all surfacing equipment unsupervised to include but not limited to air compressors, blockers, polishers, generators, engravers, non-dip backside coaters & Microsoft windows based computers.
  • Employee must be able to calibrate and put into operation above listed equipment unsupervised.
  • Employee must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and simple repairs unsupervised on all above listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
  • Employee must be able to perform routine, scheduled and emergency maintenance under supervision on all above listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
  • Employee will perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to: cleaning, trash removal, general electrical- plumbing -mechanical tasks as needed.
  • Employee will be able to understand and use technical documentation such as parts lists, maintenance guides and exploded drawings.
  • Employee will maintain lines of communication with supervisor such as valid email and current phone number.
  • Employee will comply with reasonable overtime requests as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a technical or manufacturing maintenance environment.

Desired Qualifications
  • At least 1 year experience within the Digital Eye Lab or technical or manufacturing environment as determined relevant by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Full-time employees typically work forty (40) hours a week and are scheduled eight (8) hours per day over five (5) days; Part-time employees typically work a reduced schedule that is less than thirty (30) hours per week. Overtime is routinely expected.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. TRAVEL
Travel for this position would be minimal if at all.

Compensation Range
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $17.00 to $18.00. This represents the good-faith estimate of the compensation range at the time of posting.
Actual Pay will be based on job-related factors, which may include:

  • Internal equity considerations
  • Applicable minimum wage laws

This position may also be eligible for a bonus and/or commission plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plan.
