  • MON - FRI (with some Saturdays): 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM 
  • 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM during peak time. (Friday off)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, United States.  As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes and maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Perform quality control checks and inspections throughout the production process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, quality metrics, and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet targets
  • Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines as needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
  • Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a safe and organized workspace
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • What You'll Do:
    As an Optical Manufacturing Associate, you'll play an integral role in our production team. Based on department needs, your duties may include tasks such as:

  • Bench/Mounters: Inserting lenses into frames, edging, beveling, tinting, and ensuring lenses meet correct power, axis, and prism standards.
  • Inspection: Checking frames and lenses for cosmetic and optical defects using ANSI standards.
  • Surface: Using state of the art CNC optical machinery. Handling lens surface processes like taping, blocking, generating, coating, and polishing.
  • AR Department: Operating state of the art Anti Reflective Coating Machinery, sorting and inspecting lenses, and ensuring they meet quality standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as required
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
