Job Description

Shift Hours Tailored for You:

Choose between two convenient shift schedules:

  1. MON - FRI (with some Saturdays): 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  2. SUN, MON, TUES (with some Saturdays): 4:00 PM - 4:30 AM
  3. WED, THUR, FRI (with some Saturdays): 4:00 PM - 4:30 AM

What You'll Do:
As an Optical Manufacturing Associate, you'll play an integral role in our production team. Based on department needs, your duties may include tasks such as:

  • Bench/Mounters: Inserting lenses into frames, edging, beveling, tinting, and ensuring lenses meet correct power, axis, and prism standards.
  • Inspection: Checking frames and lenses for cosmetic and optical defects using ANSI standards.
  • Surface: Using state of the art CNC optical machinery. Handling lens surface processes like taping, blocking, generating, coating, and polishing.
  • AR Department: Operating state of the art Anti Reflective Coating Machinery, sorting and inspecting lenses, and ensuring they meet quality standards.
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • No specific educational level required - your experience speaks volumes!
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is needed.
  • Precision and accuracy are paramount in this role.
  • This position requires intermittent focused effort, coupled with organizational and planning skills.

Physical Demands:

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have a willingness to learn and grow (no specific education or experience required, though optical or manufacturing experience is a plus).
  • Can read and write English proficiently.
  • Are detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be prepared for an active role: continuous walking, standing, or sitting (depending on station).
  • Flexibility is key - you'll engage in wrist movement and occasional lifting of objects up to 10 lbs.
  • Embrace the physicality: bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements are part of the job.
