Job description

We are seeking an Doctor Assistant for a busy Optometry office to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the medical facility running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is mature, reliable, has the ability to learn new things, work independently and multi-task.
Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner, checking in patients.
  • Perform routine clinical pre-testing of patients with state-of-the-art equipment
  • Supervising Contact lens Trial orders and supplies
  • Escort patients to exam rooms
  • Cross-Train in Front Desk, Optical and other Admninistrative duties.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain clinical areas, exam rooms and equipment.
  • Wipe and shut down all clinical areas, exam rooms, and equipment at end of the day.

Qualifications:

  • Bright, energetic individual who loves to help kids as well as adults
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Starts as part-time (with intent to grow into full time), approximately 25-30 hours per week, as the schedule will vary. Part of the job will include cross-training as Front Desk Assistant and Optician Assistant.  Will train the right applicant.
Because of the training required, and to maintain consistency for our patients, we would like someone who can be with us for at least two years and preferably longer. Please DO NOT apply if you are interested in short-term employment.
