Work Environment

The position is onsite within our well-equipped rehabilitation facility, situated in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. As a physical therapist at Healthactions, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and administrative staff, all committed to fostering the best outcomes for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, utilizing standardized assessment tools and techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, goals, and evidence-based practices, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the treatment process, providing clear instructions on exercises and rehabilitation strategies to promote self-management.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient progress, treatment modalities used, and results achieved, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards for documentation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress, coordinate care, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in departmental leadership functions, such as community outreach initiatives, marketing efforts, and program development to enhance service delivery.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including physical therapist assistants and aides, ensuring they are equipped and informed to contribute effectively to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our varied patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical interventions, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen ability to engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally-sensitive communication and fostering trust throughout the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Possession of an active state license in Physical Therapy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in word processing and electronic health record systems.
• A commitment to professional development through continuous education and training.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting. Familiarity with current evidence-based practice guidelines in physical rehabilitation, as well as experience in managing diverse patient populations, will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
