This is an owner/developer-style role where you will lead external consultants and coordinate with geotechnical engineers, contractors, utilities, and local authorities to deliver fully engineered, construction-ready sites for hyperscale infrastructure.
The work is highly execution-driven and involves shaping some of the largest and most complex industrial developments in progress, with significant emphasis on speed, scalability, and risk management.

  • Exposure to challenging geotechnical conditions (expansive soils, karst, high water table)
  • Experience in owner/developer-side delivery environments

Responsibilities
  • Lead civil due diligence for greenfield and conversion sites, including topography, drainage, utilities, soils, and environmental constraints
  • Identify civil risks, cost drivers, and fatal flaws during site selection and feasibility stages
  • Direct geotechnical investigations and interpret subsurface reports to inform design decisions
  • Develop and maintain civil basis of design, master specifications, and standard drawings
  • Manage external civil engineering consultants from schematic design through IFC deliverables
  • Establish grading strategies, earthwork balancing, and mass excavation planning for large campuses
  • Coordinate utility routing including water, sewer, stormwater, MV electrical, and roadway infrastructure
  • Lead permitting strategy including NPDES, SWPPP, floodplain (CLOMR/LOMR), and environmental approvals
  • Interface with state and local agencies, utilities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
  • Support construction activities through submittals, RFIs, field reviews, and design changes
  • Oversee civil closeout, as-builts, and final site acceptance with authorities
