Description:
Civil Engineer - Entry Level
A well-established civil engineering firm in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to support land development and infrastructure design projects. The firm offers strong mentorship, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative environment designed to help new engineers build technical and project-based skills.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience who are eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a variety of civil engineering projects. The position includes hands-on design work, exposure to permitting processes, and opportunities to interact with clients and municipal officials as skills develop.
Candidates must hold an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or have the ability to obtain it within the first year of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support
Assist in the design of commercial and residential land development and subdivision projects
Prepare engineering plans, sketches, and construction documents
Support grading and utility layout design
Contribute to stormwater management design and NPDES permitting
Assist with floodplain modeling and hydraulic analysis
Prepare erosion and sedimentation control plans
Support sanitary and stormwater piping design
Project Coordination
Help track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Participate in meetings with clients, planning boards, and municipal engineers (with guidance)
Collaborate with senior engineers and design staff on project tasks
Quality & Professional Development
Perform drafting, calculations, and technical checks under supervision
