Job description

The Wholesale Parts Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for driving wholesale parts gross generation across multiple OEM brands and dealership locations through proactive sales engagement, order processing, and account management.
This role serves as the primary inside sales contact for wholesale customers including collision centers, independent repair facilities, and MSO partners. The ISR is responsible for processing orders received via phone / electronic platforms / other means as well as expanding share of wallet within existing accounts. Based upon performance and business needs, this role will eventually be responsible for processing orders for 3 to 5 additional brands.
This position operates in a centralized sales environment (i.e., part of a co-located or virtually centralized team) and focuses exclusively on sales / account management activities without warehouse responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage wholesale parts sales through phone, email, and digital ordering platforms including OPS, OEC, CCC, and Parts Trader.
  • Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities across multiple OEM brands and dealership inventories to maximize order capture and improve customer service levels.
  • Build strong relationships with collision centers, independent repair facilities, and wholesale accounts to increase customer retention and parts penetration.
  • Accurately identify, quote, and process parts using multiple OE electronic parts catalogs.
  • Support Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) by providing inside sales coverage, quote follow-up, and opportunity development.
  • Monitor incoming quote requests and actively convert estimates into confirmed orders.
  • Leverage dealership inventory visibility across locations to improve fill rates and reduce lost sales.
  • Track and manage customer buying patterns to identify growth opportunities and increase share of wallet.
  • Ensure accurate order entry, documentation, and communication of delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Resolve customer issues including order discrepancies, pricing concerns, and delivery inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records within dealership systems, including parts wholesale CRM.
  • Stay current on OEM promotions, pricing programs, and parts availability across all supported brands.

SALES PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Meet or exceed monthly wholesale gross targets.
  • Increase gross generated through cross-brand selling across multiple dealership inventories.
  • Improve quote-to-order conversion rates.
  • Grow customer account gross and share of wallet.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Support overall dealership wholesale growth initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive parts sales.
  • Experience working with multiple OEM brands strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of collision and mechanical parts ordering processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume inbound sales activity while identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency with OE electronic parts catalogs (across multiple OEM brands preferred).
  • Experience using collision estimating systems including CCC, Mitchell, and Audatex (preferred).
  • Familiarity with wholesale ordering platforms including CollisionLink, RepairLink, OPS Trax, CCC and Parts Trader.
  • Working knowledge of dealership management systems including CDK for order processing, inventory visibility, and customer account management.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and multi-system navigation.
  • Ability to efficiently operate across multiple systems and monitors simultaneously while managing quotes, orders, and inventory across dealership locations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position operates in a centralized office or call-center sales environment focused on wholesale gross generation.
  • The ISR role is dedicated exclusively to sales and customer engagement and does not include warehouse responsibilities or parts pulling.
  • The position requires frequent use of multiple systems and monitors to manage quotes, orders, and inventory across dealership locations.
