Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health challenges, personal goals, and stressors, and develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate mindfulness-based interventions.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions incorporating practices such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), meditation, breathing exercises, and self-reflection techniques to help clients manage anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
• Lead group workshops that focus on mindfulness, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, helping clients learn effective coping strategies through collaborative learning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to track clients’ improvements and adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary.
• Engage in continuous self-reflection and mindfulness practices to enhance both your therapeutic skills and personal well-being, ensuring you remain an effective counselor for your clients.
• Actively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to integrate comprehensive treatment approaches that consider all aspects of a client’s well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve individuals from varied backgrounds experiencing mental health challenges. Many clients seek support for stress, anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. Your role will involve helping these individuals cultivate essential skills to manage and overcome their challenges, promoting emotional health and personal growth through evidence-based mindfulness techniques.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
• Proficiency in therapeutic techniques, especially those related to mindfulness and stress reduction, is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or similar methodologies is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Prior experience working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of cultural competency in mental health.
• Excellent communication skills, evidenced by the ability to create a supportive environment conducive to client growth and healing.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
