You will leverage your expertise to evaluate, design, and implement personalized treatment plans that facilitate optimal functional recovery.

About the Organization

The Musculoskeletal Health Care Center is a physical therapist-owned private practice that embodies a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. With a restorative mission at our core, we pride ourselves on creating a tailored therapeutic experience that aligns the latest research findings with practical rehabilitation techniques. Our center is widely regarded as a premier destination for musculoskeletal care, demonstrating a proven track record in patient satisfaction and outcomes across Utica and surrounding areas.

The orthopedic outpatient office provides a welcoming atmosphere where you will work side-by-side with fellow healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality therapeutic services. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, amounting to 40 hours per week, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. As you interact with diverse patient populations, you will engage in an environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual recovery goals.
  • Implement and oversee a variety of treatment modalities, ensuring each patient receives specialized care, whether in-clinic or during home visits.
  • Maintain clear, ethical communication with patients and their families regarding treatment processes, progress updates, and adjusting care plans.
  • Utilize advanced therapeutic equipment and software to track patient progress, document treatment results, and facilitate effective care coordination.
  • Collaborate regularly with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Regularly monitor utilization goals and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.
  • Participate in staff training and community outreach programs to promote musculoskeletal health and wellness initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient demographic, including individuals with orthopedic injuries, sports-related ailments, pediatric concerns, and neurological conditions. You will have the opportunity to empower patients by fostering rehabilitation through tailored exercise programs, manual therapy, and educational sessions, addressing not only physical but also psychological aspects of recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid State License to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that enhance patient interaction.
  • A strong proficiency in digital healthcare tools and software for documenting patient care.
  • A genuine desire to establish strong relationships with patients and their communities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with a variety of patient populations and specialty areas such as sports medicine and pediatrics is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly for outpatient therapy settings, will be beneficial.
  • Background in community health initiatives and outreach programs is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, successful candidates will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package that includes performance-based incentives, a generous retirement plan with 401k and profit-sharing options, and a comprehensive PTO policy that encompasses medical leaves and personal time off.
