Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions in one-on-one and group settings, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of clinical records in accordance with regulatory compliance and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive, holistic care for clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research, and best practices by attending relevant workshops, seminars, and continuing education courses.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on helping individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. Our client population includes those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use issues, and relationship difficulties. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical environment or outpatient setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster trusting therapeutic relationships with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and similar software tools to manage patient documentation efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in specialized areas such as trauma therapy, substance abuse, family and couples counseling is highly desirable.
  • Established expertise in evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities that are effective for various mental health issues.

  • The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on caseload and client engagement.
