Position: Ophthalmologist (Bilingual or willing to learn)Location: ArizonaEmployment Type: Full time
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join our growing medical team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular diseases and conditions, perform surgical procedures, and deliver exceptional patient care. Candidates must be bilingual and able to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system.
  • Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and treatment plans.
  • Perform ophthalmic surgeries and laser procedures as needed.
  • Evaluate and manage medical and surgical eye emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with optometrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
Minimum Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency Program.
  • Fellowship training (preferred but not required).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of employment.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain before employment).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred; exceptional new graduates will be considered.
  • Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish or be willing to learn).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cataract, glaucoma, retinal, or refractive surgery.
  • Experience using advanced ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty.
  • Experience serving multicultural and diverse patient populations.
