testsand procedures, patient scheduling, and exam room preparation.

A caregiver in this position works 8:00amto 4:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Perform clinical and technical ophthalmic duties and perform basic patient care as directed by a physician or supervisor.
  • Receive and prepare patients for examination and treatment under the direction of a supervisor orphysician.
  • Perform routine screening tests and document patient information in thepatientmedical record.
  • Stock andmaintainexam rooms with equipment and supplies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience providing direct patient care under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and PC.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
  • May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.
  • Visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $16.47

Maximum hourly: $23.61
