Position Overview:
As part of the talented Stuart Operations Team, the Machine Operator sets-up, operates, and maintains machinery, in our manufacturing setting. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.

Essential Functions:
  • Operation of Laser and CNC machine
  • Operation of drill presses, notcher and spot welder
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
  • Check output to ensure highest quality
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations, and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Technical knowledge, attention to detail, have extreme focus and accuracy
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one-year related experience preferred as a Laser or machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting
  • Some experience as a CNC Operator preferred
  • Some experience in CAD preferred

Working Conditions:
  • While performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Non-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be required

The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
