*This job requires travel throughout Florida. We provide housing, mileage, and per diem.ย 
Position Summary

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating cranes and lifting equipment to support marine and civil construction projects. This role requires skillful operation, strict adherence to safety procedures, and coordination with ground crews to lift, move, and place materials and equipment efficiently on active job sites.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile, hydraulic, lattice boom, or other assigned cranes safely and efficiently.

  • Perform lifting, hoisting, and material placement operations as directed by supervisors and signal persons.

  • Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of crane and rigging equipment.

  • Maintain accurate inspection logs and report any mechanical or safety concerns immediately.

  • Follow load charts, lift plans, and manufacturer operating guidelines.

  • Coordinate closely with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors.

  • Secure loads properly and ensure safe lifting practices at all times.

  • Maintain clean and orderly equipment and work areas.

  • Assist with general site duties when crane operation is not required.

  • Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety plans.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 3โ€“5 years crane operating experience in construction or marine environments.

  • Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent) preferred or required based on crane type.

  • Strong knowledge of load charts and safe rigging practices.

  • Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
