Job Description: Precast Operator
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Plant Manager
Position Overview
The role of a Precast Operator is to safely complete the manufacturing of precast concrete structures from start to finish. The Precast Operator will set up, pour, finish, and strip out concrete products that are shipped to our customers. Training will be provided for all new hires and no prior experience is required for this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Set up forms for concrete pours
  • Pour concrete into precast forms
  • Finishing of various concrete structures
  • Stripping and cleaning concrete forms and structures
  • Keeping a clean and orderly work area
  • Follows all safety procedures and wears appropriate PPE
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Industry experience within construction and/or construction materials.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Consistent availability for regular 8 to 10-hour shifts, Monday - Friday
  • Environmental conditions include noise, heat and cold

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Required to bend, kneel and reach above head
