Position: Crane Operator
Job Location: Tampa Fl.
Hutco Branch: Tampa Fl.
Rate Of Pay: $29.00 per hour $120.00 per diem for those that qualify
DESCRIPTION:
Currently seeking 1st class Crane Operators for ship yard work located in Tampa Fl.. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have previous crane operating work experience. This is primarily repair work on barges and boats. TWIC card is NOT required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to perform duties and functions relating to crane operator
  • Personal Protective Equipment:
Hard Hat, Steel Toe Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Gloves
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Operate cranes, cherry picker, and other equipment used in lifting and manipulating loads in the repair and/or construction of marine vessels and associated equipment.
  • Perform service and maintenance on equipment, refueling, manipulates cables, chains, shackles, tag lines and other equipment.
  • Work in outside conditions with fumes, odors, and dust.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to written policies and procedures.
  • Enter and work in operator's cab and similarly confined spaces.
  • Manipulate and transport loads of up to 50 pounds over a distance of up to 200 feet, approximately 1 to 6 times during each eight (8) hour shift.
  • Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position of operator.
  • Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
  • Traverse and negotiate uneven heights and surfaces.
  • Ascend and work at heights of up to 30 feet.
  • Stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Employee will be required to follow all company policies and report any accidents or unsafe conditions encountered.
