Job description

Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Operator to join their team. As an Operator, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting quality assurance and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Operator

Location: Wilmington, MA

Pay Range: $17 - $20

Shift: 1st and 2nd shifts available

What's the Job?

  • Operate and monitor large cooking kettles, vats, and pumps to process food items according to recipes and procedures.
  • Follow detailed instructions to weigh, add ingredients, and ensure proper cooking times and temperatures.
  • Maintain accurate logs of batch production, temperatures, and times to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and inspection of equipment to meet Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) standards.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.

  • Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic mechanical or technical skills to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
