Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Operator II, Production primary responsibility is to safely package containers following ChemTreat policy and procedures, lend support to Blend Operator and assume responsibilities of Blend Operator when necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Packagevarious sizesof finished products into designated containers.

  • Perform basic functions in Ignition, i.e., open/close blend vat valve and initiate rinse cycle.

  • Placeappropriate barcodeson finished products,identifyingNCM material.

  • Ensuring materials are available when needed. Pulling samples for Blend Operator andmaintainingcommunication.

  • Blend finished goods products using hazardous andnon hazardousmaterials.

  • Notify Production Foreman and Blend Operator of any problems.

  • Coordinate information with other departments.

  • Ensure all safety equipment is worn and put away.

  • Check for accuracy of floor scales.

  • Ensure allhosesand other equipmentiscompletely operational and clean.

  • Ability to safelyoperatea forklift.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily inspection of forklift.

  • Assist in Production cycle counts.

  • Ensure work area cleaned and organized.

  • Lock access points of entry and turn on/off pumps.

  • Back-up Blend Operator when necessary.

  • Back-up Bulk loader

  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a specialty chemical blending and packaging facility where hazardous materials are present.

  • Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures andwork spacerestrictions.

  • Required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which mayinclude:eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.

  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

  • Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.

The compensation range for this role is $25.24 - $25.24 USD per hour.This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
