Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Store Manager in Training to oversee our c-store operations. As the SMIT, you will be responsible for driving business growth, managing staff, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, and improve operational efficiency
  • Manage and supervise a team of assistant managers and cashiers
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure excellent service and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction, addressing customer concerns and resolving issues 
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure high standard for our guests
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance to ensure efficient operations
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director and vendors to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the c-store industry
  • HS diploma or equivalent; degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to visit multiple locations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks, responsibilities, and urgencies simultaneously
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in a retail gas station setting, in varying weather conditions when outdoors, which may include snow, rain, excessive heat and cold.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
