Furnace Helper / Production Laborer / Industrial Operator
Location: Swissvale, PA
Pay: Starting at $16.92/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (switch to 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM after hire) | Weekends and holidays required

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Furnace Helpers on behalf of one of our clients in the Swissvale area. We have openings for Production Laborers and Industrial Operators to assist with furnace operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates who are physically fit, eager to learn, and able to work in high-heat environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation and operation of industrial furnaces as a Furnace Helper / Industrial Operator
  • Load raw materials into furnaces following safety protocols
  • Monitor furnace conditions and temperatures under supervision
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
  • Support Furnace Tenders and other team members as needed
Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to work in high-heat environments
  • Physically fit and able to lift, stand, and work in hot conditions for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Previous experience in industrial or foundry environments is a plus, but not required
