Now hiring: Coffee Machine Operators / Process Managers who want to help make delicious coffee while having a blast with a dynamic and rapidly growing company. Saltwinds Coffee Company is a coffee roastery based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, specialising in high quality coffee award winning coffee that is infused with Ocean Air. Our coffee is sold at grocery stores and shops across Canada and the USA, as well as online. Our unique Maritime flavoured coffee has won international awards and has attracted considerable interest and very strong sales. We are now looking for a machine operator / process manager (role will depend on the candidate education and experience) to help us meet growing demand for our amazing products. No experience with coffee or manufacturing required: we will train you! We are looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible, and then grow with us as we continue to expand. This is a full time permanent role.The duties for a machine operator will include:- Operating manual and automated coffee packaging machines and related equipment, including grinders and mixers- Regular cleaning and maintenance of the coffee packaging and associated equipment and manufacturing facility- Use both manual and mechanised processes to mix, weigh, grind, bag and seal bagged coffee.- Prepare and process green coffee beans for roasting- Ensure quality standards are upheld and assist with quality control and quality assurance tasks in the roastery- Fulfill, pick and prepare customer orders for delivery with extreme accuracy- Complete work efficiently and safely, and maintain a clean and safe work space and restock and prep supplies as needed- Other duties as required to help Saltwinds Coffee Company growThe successful Coffee Machine Operator / Process Manager is:comfortable operating industrial machinery (training will be provided), which involves transporting loads of 15kg and frequently moving across the roastery and around equipment with these loadsa self starter who can manage their own time effectively and prioritise tasks to meet goals and deadlinesa person with extreme attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in the tasks they carry outable to work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment and can effectively manage stressa great team player who can work efficiently with others to complete taskshas mechanical aptitude and is comfortable troubleshooting machineryan effective communicator in the English language, verbal and writtenability to read written instructions and understand verbal instructions, and follow both accuratelypassionate about coffee with a desire to learn moreThis is a full time permanent role, in person at our new coffee roastery on Fredericton's south side, just off the Vanier Highway at 170 Doak Road. Regular hours are Monday - Friday from 8 - 4:30Coffee beans have a wide range of colors and flavours and come from all over the world, and so do people.
