Job Summary:

The Volunteer supports the District by assisting with recreation programs, camps, special events, community activities, and general operations. Volunteers help create a safe, welcoming, and positive experience for participants while gaining valuable leadership, teamwork, and community service experience.

Volunteers may assist in a variety of program areas depending on District needs, individual interests, and assigned responsibilities.


Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff with recreation programs, camps, sports, special events, and community activities.
  • Help with setup, cleanup, registration tables, participant check-in, and activity preparation.
  • Provide support and positive interaction with participants, families, and community members.
  • Assist with organizing supplies, materials, equipment, and activity areas.
  • Support staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Help monitor activities and participants under staff supervision.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the District in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Follow District policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and staff direction.
  • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or participant concerns to staff immediately.
  • Participate in required volunteer orientations or trainings.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding participants, staff, and District operations.
  • Performs other related duties to meet the district's Mission and Vision.


Requirements:
  • Minimum age of sixteen (16) years old.
  • Interest in recreation, community service, youth programs, events, or public service preferred.
  • Previous volunteer or leadership experience is helpful but not required.
