Job description

Business Systems Analyst
Austin, TX
$60,000 – $80,000 / year
OVERVIEW
An Austin-based real estate development and management company focused on student housing and multifamily communities is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join its Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of data, process, and property management technology, helping the team get more out of the systems that run the business and turning raw data into something leadership can actually use.
This is a good fit for someone analytical and detail-oriented who's comfortable working directly with property management software and the teams who rely on it every day.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support and help administer the company’s core business systems, including its property management platform
Build and maintain reports and dashboards that give leadership and operations teams real visibility into performance
Analyze operational and financial data to spot trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Document current workflows and help design better ones as the portfolio grows
Partner with property-level and corporate teams to understand their systems needs and turn them into working solutions
Test new system features, integrations, and process changes before they roll out company-wide
Troubleshoot data and systems issues, working with vendors and internal teams to resolve them
Maintain data accuracy and consistency across systems through regular audits and cleanup
Train team members on system updates, reports, and best practices
WHY YOU MATTER
Good decisions depend on good data and systems that actually work the way people need them to. You’ll be the one making sure both hold up as the company keeps adding properties, which shapes how efficiently the whole operations team runs.
WHAT IT TAKES
1-3 years of experience in a business systems, data analyst, or systems administration role
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; SQL a plus
Experience with a property management platform (Entrata, Yardi, RealPage, or similar) is a strong plus
Strong analytical skills and real comfort digging into data to find the story behind it
Clear written and verbal communication skills — you’ll be explaining systems to non-technical teammates regularly
Detail-oriented, with a track record of catching things others miss
Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment
Real estate, property management, or student housing background is a plus but not required
THE PERKS!
$60,000–$80,000 per year, plus a 10% annual bonus
Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits
401(k)
A seat on a fast-growing real estate platform’s Operations team
Direct exposure to how a national student housing and multifamily portfolio actually runs
