Job description

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Performs a wide variety of agronomy administrative support and office clerical functions to include customer service, billing, and inventory controls.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Records transactions within 24 hours of inventory leaving the facility

Complies with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations

Work closely with Crop Specialist(s) to assist with entry of customer booking and sales transactions

Apply customer payments on account in a timely and accurate manner

Assist with inventory cycle counts and research any findings

Ability to learn and utilize accounting software (Agvance) and adapt to ongoing changes that increase operational efficiencies

Communicates with customers and management staff via telephone or in person. Answers questions, research discrepancies, and disseminates information when necessary to appropriate personnel.

Performs general office duties such as, opening, dating, sorting, and distributing mail, preparing courier bags for pickup, distributing, and updating forms, address labels, mailing lists, and office materials inventory, filing all delivery and receiving paperwork daily.

Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, fax machines, voice mail systems, personal computers and computer systems (i.e. Microsoft Office).

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensure cleanliness of office space.

Help prepare for meetings to include ordering meals as needed.

Occasionally may be asked to drive and run local errands as requested.

May be required to cross-train and substitute for other administrative positions.

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires an Associate's degree (A.A.), or the equivalent thereof, and 1 - 3 years or more of clerical related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, customer service, and ability to multi-task.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)

Demonstrate essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

May be required to work extended hours beyond those considered "normal" to meet seasonal demands.

Work is conducted mainly in a typical office environment, with slight exposure to other warehousing or storage facilities with generally satisfactory conditions, sometimes in a noisy, open area while interacting with team members and serving customer's needs.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
