This role is responsible for providing overall leadership of operating areas, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations while driving continuous improvement across production units.**What You Will Do*** Provide overall leadership of assigned operating areas, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations* Drive a culture of safety awareness and environmental responsibility across the organization* Oversee and support Area Supervisors and Operations Engineers, holding them accountable for both technical and day-to-day leadership* Ensure compliance with all site and corporate safety, environmental, and quality policies* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and efficiency* Proactively address operational needs including staffing, CAPEX, maintenance, and cost management* Monitor production performance to ensure achievement of safety, quality, and output targets* Lead daily and weekly operational prioritization and planning* Approve MOCs, work permits, incident reports, and operating procedures* Develop and manage annual operating plans (AOPs) aligned with business objectives* Partner with engineering and technical teams to identify and implement cost reduction and reliability improvements* Conduct regular audits (permits, housekeeping, JSA, 5S, etc.) to drive continuous improvement* Ensure full compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements* Act as the escalation point for operational issues, minimizing impact to business performance**What You Bring****Required:*** **5+ years of experience** in a manufacturing environment (chemical industry preferred)* Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, including team development and accountability* Strong understanding of safe work practices, environmental compliance, and operational excellence* Proven ability to manage multiple operating units and competing priorities* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization**Preferred:*** **Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering** or related discipline* Experience in **bromine, chemical processing, or similar industrial operations*** Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong safety cultures* Background in continuous improvement methodologies* Familiarity with PSM programs, operating procedures, and permit systems**Key Partnerships*** **Maintenance:** Align on long-term needs, planning, and priorities* **Operations Coordinator:** Coordinate logistics and production reporting requirements* **Technical Advisor / Engineering:** Support process optimization and continuous improvement* **Business Team:** Align operations with production and quality targets* **Safety & Regulatory:** Ensure compliance with all policies and programs**Key Performance Indicators*** Safety and environmental performance* Production and quality targets* Maintenance planning and scheduling efficiency* Continuous improvement effectiveness, including proactive vs. reactive work (target: 75% proactive)Magnolia site employees should be aware of both the Albemarle Magnolia Site Quality Policy and the Albemarle Magnolia Site Quality Objectives plus understand how their role contributes to each.
