About the Team:
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead successful project initiatives that create lasting improvements in patient and site experiences and internal engagement efforts.
Reporting to the VP, Research Site Engagement, this role is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in project management and relationship building. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall relationship management of projects and day-to-day activities. The function also ensures that Medidata is able to deliver patient, site, and employee insights projects and services on time and within budget through effective management of Medidata resources. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of operationalizing our "Insights - as- a - Product" model.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize and Oversee Project Management software solutions (WRIKE) to organize and execute plans and projects that drive internal and external engagement around patient, sites, and employee insights.
  • Operational Architecture: Drive the creation, development, and standardization of Wrike blueprints and automated dashboards to provide real-time visibility into program delivery, KPIs and program health.
  • Strategic & Custom Project Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for complex, cross-functional strategic projects. This includes developing custom project plans for both internal mission-alignment efforts and client-facing engagements.
  • Data-Driven Operational Excellence: Implement rigorous project documentation standards that support the commercialization of OSIE insights, ensuring deliverables are "audit-ready" and consistent with our global OSIE model
  • Lead project delivery to ensure that all deliverables are tracked and that documentation is current
  • Manage project expectations and communications, and ensure overall satisfaction
  • Strategic Reporting: Act as the operational pulse for OSIE leadership, ensuring that project tracking, forecasting, and budgeting directly support our goals, ensuring onetime delivery and superior customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project financials including forecasting, project budget, and accuracy of invoicing
  • Create and maintain accurate and current project documentation
  • Raise and track work requests with other departments as needed
  • Document minutes/action items during all project team meetings; conduct appropriate follow-up as necessary
  • Manage issues and risks driving appropriate resolution and mitigation
  • Provide proactive communication to all stakeholders
  • Assure compliance with Medidata's standard project management methodologies, quality management system
  • Support development of sales orders and change orders
  • Deliver workshops and lead client meetings
  • Insights Delivery: Partner with leadership to transform raw patient, site, and employee feedback into high-value, AI-assisted data assets. Ensure every project initiative contributes to our centralized intelligence database.

Your Competencies:
  • Requires only general instruction for routine assignments, and some coaching/mentoring on more complex assignments
  • Preference for a basic understanding of clinical research (pharma/device/biotech) and of clinical research SaaS technology
  • Demonstrate good verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Exhibit time management skills along with strong collaboration and teamwork
  • Experience in leading project teams and meeting project timelines

  • Strategic Agility: Experience managing both internal engagement programs and external client-facing projects with a focus on commercial value and ROI

Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent (analytic discipline a plus) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical/biomedical and/ or software development environment preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, operations, or business intelligence, preferably within a high-growth environment, clinical research organization (CRO), or software/tech sector.
  • Project Management Foundation: Demonstrated experience building or optimizing operational workflows. Proven ability to move functions to scale by developing SOPs, RACI matrices, and standard intake frameworks
  • Analytical Rigor: A background in an analytical discipline is required. Must demonstrate experience in transforming raw, qualitative feedback (e.g., patient, site, or employee data) into high-value, commercialized data assets or strategic reports
  • Familiarity with AI-driven synthesis tools (e.g., NotebookLM) and project management platforms (e.g., Wrike)

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is 96,000 -128,000.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is 101,250 -135,000.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is 94,500 - 126,000.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is 84,375 -112,500.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is 85,500 - 114,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $96000 and $128000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
