Job description

Station Manager – DFW

Position Overview

BTX Global Logistics is seeking a proven operations leader with a strong track record in the global freight forwarding industry. The Station Manager – DFW is responsible for leading and managing the DFW station while supporting national operations, customer service, compliance, SOPs, and KPIs. This role reports to the Director of Operations and is accountable for service quality, operational performance, and profitability in alignment with BTX’s strategic objectives.

The Station Manager fosters a positive, high-performance work environment, develops team capabilities, and ensures customers receive best-in-class service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the DFW station.

• Maintain a positive, engaged, and accountable work environment.

• Clearly communicate roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations; hold team members accountable.

• Develop employees for increased responsibility through coaching, training, and leadership development.

• Partner with Sales and Corporate Leadership to create and maintain customer-specific SOPs, including business overviews, contacts, operational processes, and quoting procedures.

• Ensure all SOPs are consistently followed to deliver best-in-class customer service.

• Ensure timely, professional responses to all customer emails and phone calls.

• Treat Sales partners as internal customers and maintain strong cross-functional communication.

• Ensure accurate and timely billing of shipments.

• Report staffing, operational, vendor, and IT issues to Corporate for resolution.

• Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) effectively in daily operations.

Experience and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

• 5–7 years of prior operations experience; customer service or call center experience preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on operational experience in a corporate environment.

• National operations experience required, including quoting, routing, documentation, AWB and BOL preparation, and domestic forwarding network knowledge.

• Knowledge of TSA regulations and IATA Dangerous Goods certification preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with agents, partners, and clients.

• Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.

• Analytical problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.

• Broad operational background with experience in dynamic, growth-oriented environments.
