Job description

Office Manager/Operations

A seed-funded, early-stage aerospace startup founded by two engineers with deep experience leading large-scale aerospace programs is looking for an Office Manager/Operations to join their team as their first non-engineering hire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-output, mission-driven team of seven building safety-critical technology. In this role, you'll own office management, support finance and people ops, run logistics for team-wide monthly meetups, and help build the operational foundation as the company scales. Someone who thrives in early-stage environments, is comfortable wearing many hats, takes things end-to-end without hand-holding, and is energized by working alongside a close-knit team of builders. This is an in-office role, five days a week, based just outside Seattle in Kirkland, WA. 100-150K DOE + fully covered health benefits including dependents, equity, and 401K.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including inventory, shipping and receiving, furniture procurement, vendor coordination, and general office upkeep.
  • Support bookkeeping and finance workflows by tagging and categorizing expenses, organizing receipts, and coordinating with external accounting partners as needed.
  • Support HR and people operations by owning onboarding logistics for new hires, including laptop ordering, setup coordination, equipment tracking, and ensuring a smooth first-day experience.
  • Coordinate team gatherings and company events, including travel arrangements, accommodations, transportation, meals, and on-site logistics for both in-office and remote team members.
  • Stay connected to the local startup ecosystem by attending relevant events, building relationships, and sharing insights on early-stage company practices.
  • Support company operations by maintaining documentation and improving operational processes.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the team as needed, including potential involvement in customer success, operations, or other high-priority projects.
Qualifications:
  • Previous three plus years of experience in an administrative or operational role, ideally in an early-stage startup.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong follow-through and a proven ability to take ownership of tasks from end-to-end.
  • Calm, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-moving, direct, and high-pressure environment.
  • Low-ego team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support a highly technical, builder-oriented team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage logistics, documentation, and operational details with accuracy and care.
  • Flexible and comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Excited to wear different hats and jump in where needed.
