Job description

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Principal Software Integrator in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

The Principal Software Integrator will support the GWS Program by leading the integration, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex software systems within a collaborative development and test environment. This role works closely with software developers, systems engineers, and other technical teams to ensure software components and interfaces are successfully integrated and meet program requirements.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university

Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or PhD and 1 year of experience
  • Previous experience with integration of separate software components into a single system
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration
  • Candidate must have, or be able to develop, in depth expertise in the GSS Launch Management Systems concept of operations and user interface
  • Experience writing installation manuals
  • Develop scripts in Bash, C Shell, Python and work within the Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins and Artifactory)
  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II – Certification
Special Skills Desired:
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
  • Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code, ASCII logs and XML logs
  • Ability to perform basic SQL operations in a MySQL environment
