Job Details:Job Description: The Role and Impact As a Software Research Engineer/Scientist, you will leverage your software expertise, domain knowledge, and research methodologies to solve critical engineering challenges that drive technology and product innovation. On a daily basis, you will develop strategic software applications, algorithms, and AI solutions, conduct cutting-edge research to address industry and customer needs, and prototype new ideas to advance Intel's technological capabilities. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the future of Intel's midterm and long-term objectives. Business group As part of Intel's Foundry Automation, you will join a team focused on advancing software solutions that empower innovation and maintain Intel's position at the forefront of the industry. The group collaborates with factory partners, and technical teams to address key technology challenges, explore new possibilities, and deliver impactful solutions that support Intel's broader mission of enabling breakthroughs that drive progress and performance. Key Responsibilities - Develop and optimize software applications and algorithms to address strategic technology challenges. - Prototype and design proof-of-concept solutions to validate new ideas and methodologies. - Formulate Linear and Integer Optimization models using algebraic modeling languages such as CPLEX/OPL, AMPL, or GUROBI. - Explore the scalability and decomposition of large-scale Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) and Constraint Programming (CP) models. - Perform code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality and functionality. - Utilize data analysis and visualization skills to derive insights and effectively communicate results. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, academic partners, and industry-standardization groups to drive impactful research and development initiatives.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant field such as Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 2+ years of hands-on experience.

Experience to be considered:
- Proficiency in programming languages and software modeling techniques.
- Expertise in Linear and Integer Optimization, including experience with algebraic modeling languages like CPLEX/OPL, AMPL, or GUROBI.
- Strong skills in code review processes and optimization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale MIP/CP models, decomposition methods, and scalability challenges.
- Advanced data analysis and visualization capabilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
