Position Summary:
BLN24 is seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to support the companyโ€™s federal growth, capture, and proposal development activities. The intern will assist with market research, opportunity tracking, partner research, content development, and administrative support for business development initiatives across federal civilian, health, defense, and technology-focused markets.
This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional interested in federal contracting, proposal development, government business development, marketing, communications, or technology consulting.

Key Responsibilities:
The Business Development Intern will support the Growth Team by assisting with:

Market and Opportunity Research

  • Research federal agencies, upcoming procurements, contract vehicles, and industry trends.
  • Track opportunities using public sources such as SAM.gov, agency forecasts, GSA eBuy, GovWin, FPDS, and other BD tools.
  • Summarize opportunity requirements, deadlines, contract details, and competitive intelligence.

Capture and Pipeline Supportยท

  • Help maintain BLN24โ€™s business development pipeline and opportunity trackers.
  • Support research on incumbent contractors, teaming partners, competitors, and agency buyers.ยท
  • Assist with developing opportunity briefs, gate review materials, and capture notes.

Proposal and Content Development

  • Support proposal teams with compliance matrices, outlines, resumes, past performance write-ups, and proposal templates.
  • Help organize and update reusable proposal content, project descriptions, and corporate capability materials.
  • Review solicitations and assist in identifying key requirements, deadlines, and evaluation criteria.

Marketing and Partner Support

  • Assist with drafting capability statements, one-pagers, presentations, and outreach materials.
  • Conduct research on potential teaming partners, small business partners, and strategic accounts.
  • Support preparation for industry days, networking events, and partner meetings.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized BD files, trackers, calendars, and document repositories.
  • Support meeting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up action tracking.
  • Perform other BD, capture, proposal, and marketing tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Political Science, Public Policy, English, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Interest in federal contracting, consulting, technology, government, or business development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with federal contracting or government procurement.
  • Experience with proposal writing, research, marketing, or communications.
  • Experience using tools such as SAM.gov, GovWin, GSA eBuy, or CRM/pipeline systems.
