Description
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management at 77 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02142 invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Operations Management (OM) beginning July 1, 2027, or as soon thereafter as possible. Strong applicants will demonstrate the potential for research and teaching excellence in Operations Management. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in this field, and conducting original scholarly research in Operations Management or related fields. We are especially interested in candidates who can strengthen and expand the capabilities of the OM group in terms of its research interests, methods and applications .in areas of high impact, as well as successfully teach undergraduate, MBA, Masters of Business Analytics, Ph.D. and other affiliated programs.
The pay range for a 9-month academic appointment at the entry-level Assistant Professor rank (excluding summer salary): $225,000 - $254,000. The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements. These factors impact where an individual's pay falls within a range. Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check, including verifying any finding of misconduct (or pending investigation) from prior employers.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Operations Management or a relevant field by the start of employment.
