Launch IAB is looking for a Program Manager for our MRO facility in Wichita, KS
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations within the aviation MRO facility. This position ensures that all production activities are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements. The Production Manager provides leadership to production personnel, coordinates resources, and supports continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and turnaround time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and monitor daily production operations across assigned maintenance or component work areas.
Job Description
- Assign labor, tools, materials, and equipment to support efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
- Review work progress, production schedules, and labor utilization to identify and resolve operational delays.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, customer, and internal quality and safety requirements.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to support production goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including schedule performance, labor efficiency, cost control, and throughput.
- Address production issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Support employee coaching, development, training, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support lean or efficiency-driven operating practices.
Qualifications
  • College Degree preferred
  • A&P Certificates
  • 5 years technical hands-on experience
  • 3 years of supervisory experience leading and directing aircraft maintenance technicians on transport category aircraft
  • LEAN Continuous Improvement experience

- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and make sound decisions to support production objectives.
- Experience with performance metrics, scheduling, and resource management.

- Experience in a Part 145 repair station or similar aviation maintenance environment.

Work Environment
This position is based in an active aviation maintenance environment and may require time spent on the production floor, in hangars, or in shop areas. The role may involve exposure to noise, moving equipment, and changing operational priorities. Occasional evening, weekend, or extended hours may be required to meet production demands.
