Role overview

We are looking for an experienced people operations professional to manage and execute our People Operations processes across 110+ teammates worldwide. This role is responsible for leading and continuously improving all aspects of the hiring and employee experience across our globally distributed workforce, as well as closely partnering with leadership on People strategy, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience. This role reports directly to the VP, People and Operations and is expected to be in our Boston office near Downtown Crossing 4-5 days per week. 

You'll be helping to keep the engine running behind the scenes. From creating seamless employee experiences to improving the systems and processes that support our growth, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the business can scale while preserving the culture that makes Skedda a great place to work. You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, solve problems, and create the direction of People Operations at Skedda.

What You'll OwnPeople Operations
  • Own all employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, and terminations.

  • Lead end-to-end People Operations for a global workforce consisting of U.S. employees, international contractors, and Employer of Record (EOR) employees across multiple countries.

  • Partner with talent acquisition on compensation benchmarking for open roles, top of funnel resume review, offer deck creation, and data analysis to continuously improve our hiring process

  • Own company engagement initiatives, including quarterly employee engagement (eNPS) surveys, analysis, and action planning.

  • Manage annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration

  • Own our performance management process, including our mid-year and EOY performance reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity and compliance across HR systems.

  • Own creating a great office experience for our community at our Boston headquarters 

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve HR processes to support company growth and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive HR or People Ops experience, ideally in a fast-growing, startup SaaS environment
  • Experience supporting globally distributed workforces, including hybrid employees, remote employees, contractors, and Employer of Record (EOR) teammates 
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law; exposure to international employment practices is a plus.
  • Experience administering performance management, employee engagement, benefits, and employee lifecycle programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and implement scalable HR processes.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and employee engagement platforms, ideally Rippling, Lattice, and Remote.com
  • Experience running and reviewing background checks
