Job description

Darigold is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Operator to join the team at our Issaquah Plant. As a member of the Operations team, the Production Operator should possess the desire and ability to contribute to the success of the plant. Our plants create nutritious products 24/7, 365 days a year so availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is a must!

The ideal candidate for this role excels in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple repetitive tasks. You will have a strong attention to detail and are committed to producing high quality product. You also enjoy working with others to achieve team goals but can work independently without direct supervision in a union environment. This is a full-time hourly union position.

What You Will Do:

  • Follow instructions from leads/supervisors.
  • Follow all procedures and clean up including GMPs.
  • Run chemical tests on all CIPs.
  • Document all production data clearly and accurately.
  • Keep supervisors and Maintenance informed of any mechanical issues.
  • Inspect the equipment prior to setting up for production, during production, during CIP and report possible mechanical deficiencies.
  • Must be able to complete all QA checks and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to work with required sanitation chemicals.
  • Ability to utilize professional methods of communication within the butter department to create a positive environment.
  • Complete PMs and other environmental tasks as assigned.
  • Follow and comply with Safety and Quality Assurance practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leads/supervisors/managers.
  • Days off subject to change.
