The Operations Quality Manager will be responsible for championing and guiding all aspects of quality management within Air Liquide's onsite Gas Plant supporting a large electronics campus. Fostering alignment with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines to advance continuous improvement and operational distinction.
Responsibilities
  • Integrate Air Liquide Electronics' existing quality management system with a local quality program that includes statistical process controls on incoming, in process and outgoing quality control.
  • Manage and Lead a team of technicians and specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations, and career progression mapping.
  • Establish, review and foster alignment and adherence with SOPs for analyzer and instrument calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, analyzing data to identify trends, root causes of non-conformances, and opportunities for improvement, including working with the engineering department to develop a statistical process controls program Including developing trend reports for management review.
  • Cultivate and advance continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D problem-solving to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analyzer vendors, design and project teams to partner to meet customer needs regarding 24/7 monitoring of gas quality.
  • Ensure alignment with all relevant industry regulations, customer specifications, and Air Liquide safety and environmental policies. Stand up and implement a statistical process control program for 3 product lines and 2 production facilities.
  • Coordinate with construction and project groups on the installation and commissioning and qualifying of new analytical equipment and laboratories.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to product quality and operational processes.
  • Manage and instrumentation qualification and preventative maintenance program.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 11+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the electronics or specialty gas industry.
  • 11 years experience operating and maintaining in-line gas analytical equipment with APIX, APIMS, Gas Chromatography, GC/MS, FIDs, and other types of analytical equipment
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Strong understanding and practical application of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, SPC).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Microsoft Office acceptable) and experience with QMS software.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.
  • Proven ability to propose improvement to management systems and implement them
