Job description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Senior Operations Officer to work on an exciting customer program based in Tyson's Corner, VA.  The position requires significant experience in this line of work (20+ years) and the individual will be the front facing entity for the customer, developing critical relationships to advance the mission set.  Business commercial experience is a major plus and you will be responsible for developing and maintaining specific relationships that align with the goals of the supported element.  You would work with multiple customer entities on a high impact and emerging technology within the engineering, scientific and analytical area.  

The Senior Operations Office will work in a collaborative team-focused environment of U.S. Government civilians and contractors solving applied technical problems and developing usable solutions for multiple space-related capabilities and threats. This person will possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly in order to be considered for this position
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or experience may be substituted for the degree
  • Strong operational background with in-depth knowledge of:
    • Intelligence gathering technology/tools
    • Laws and regulations governing operational activities
    • HUMINT operations
  • Significant experience operating or leading in domestic field environments
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level executives or ultra-high net worth individuals
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple agency and IC elements
  • Willingness to travel domestically (2-3 times a month)

Desired Qualification:

  • Familiarity with or interest in emerging technologies
  • Business acumen, including an MBA or relevant business experience
