Role Overview

The Commercial Operations supports bid strategy development and proposal planning under the direction of a Senior Commercial Operations Manager or Commercial Operations Director, collaborating with cross functional teams to execute proposal deliverables. Leverage knowledge of commercial terms and conditions to present proposals and commercial information to management and customers with guidance from senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, and understand customer RFQ’s for gas turbines, power trains and EPC projects; act as the primary liaison within the Lake Mary office to Owner and EPC clients for equipment proposals and consortium partnerships.
  • Ensure each proposal has a clear winning strategy that considers all aspects of scope, price, performance, service, financing, and fleet opportunities.
  • Prepare cost, risk, and commercial analyses for review and approval by senior management, supporting internal governance and approval processes.
  • Utilize the CRM system to manage and access all customer bid information; maintain the commercial operations opportunities database and provide timely and accurate reports to Senior Management.
  • Maintain weekly coordination with the Sales organization and assume responsibility for transfer and dissemination of pertinent deal data among the required internal functions.
  • Support contract negotiations by preparing commercial inputs, participating in negotiation discussions, and coordinating revisions under the guidance of senior commercial leadership and Legal.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Cost Estimating to reduce proposal preparation efforts.
  • Manage and maintain prior quote data for effective target pricing and quick turnarounds.
  • Coordinate with responsible internal and external suppliers and MPWA senior management to support proposal development and pricing activities.
  • Communicate with customers in the Americas to understand new equipment needs during user events, bid meetings and customer visits.
  • Support the development of new product offerings and company initiatives.
  • Travel Up to 25% in the US and Canada.
  • Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time by the company.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field required. Engineering degree preferred. MBA a plus, not required.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting: Proposal development for capital equipment, EPC, or industrial projects, contract review and commercial analysis and exposure to power generation, energy, oil and gas, or industrial manufacturing projects preferred.
  • Working knowledge of: equipment supply and/or EPC contracts, commercial terms such as payment terms, warranties, LDs, scope definitions, and familiarity with RFQ review and proposal structuring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to synthesize technical inputs into commercial summaries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint required).
  • CRM familiarity (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or equivalent).

  • Excellent growth and advancement opportunities.
  • Tuition reimbursement and on-the-job training.
  • Paid vacation, sick time and holidays.
  • Committed to quality products and services.
  • Great working environment and culture.
  • Employee Appreciation Programs and Events.
