Job description

Sales Operation Manager
Position Summary:
  • 100% on-site in Bridgewater, NJ

The Sales Operations Manager works in close collaboration with the VPs of Business Development and drives various operating mechanisms and processes to maximize sales performance. As such, he/she will:

The Role (daily responsibilities)

  • Lead the annual sales target-setting process working closely with the finance, operations, and sales leadership team. He/she will determine how much new sales will be needed to support the revenue growth expected over the next 3-5 years and how the target should be allocated across technologies and sales territories.
  • Act as the CRM system (Salesforce.com) expert for a business unit or specific sales technology team providing key reporting, training, problem-solving, and data validation/review.
  • Perform territory analytics using external market data and internal data to maximize coverage, win rate, and overall sales efficiencies. In addition, he/she will make recommendations on adjustments needed such as sales force size and deployment.
  • Support the revenue budget-setting process with the Corporate and Site finance teams by calculating the revenue burn rates to ensure forecasted wins will convert to revenue within the budget timeframe.
  • Organize and drive monthly sales funnel reviews with the business development teams and sites. Utilize Catalent's standard sales process methodology to ensure consistency and rigor in managing sales opportunities.
  • Assist the business unit leadership team in the annual Strategic Planning processes, providing necessary analytics on sales, customer growth, market trends.
  • Support VP of sales in preparing insightful monthly and quarterly reviews for Catalent's executive leadership team
  • Lead improvement projects to reduce the cycle time for recurring reports, optimize the efficiency of the sales process and increase collaboration amongst stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ yrs of experience preferably in Finance, Six Sigma or Operations
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead change
  • Ability to process data and apply critical business thinking to come up with simple recommendations
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong sense of organization
  • Willingness to travel globally to the various Catalent sites
  • Ability to work with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Salesforce.com.

Pay:

The annual pay range for this position in New Jersey is $89,200 - $122,600

The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
